Sat. Oct 7th Burnham Presents welcomes Caitlin Canty!
We are a new music series held at Burnham Hall in Lincoln featuring regional and nationally touring performers of note on first Saturdays Sept -May ( Feb show is on 2nd Sat.)
Caitlin Canty is an American singer/songwriter whose music carves a line through folk, blues, and country ballads. Her voice was called "casually devastating" by the San Francisco Chronicle and NPR Music describes her songs as having a "haunting urgency."
Rolling Stone describes her as "Dreamy and daring"
A native Vermonter who grew up in Proctor, she now makes her home in Nashville.
She has just released her fourth studio recording "Quiet Flame" to critical acclaim.
Produced by Chris Eldridge, Quiet Flame features Sarah Jarosz (mandolin, banjo, vocals), Brittany Haas (fiddle), and Paul Kowert (bass) as the core backing band. Andrew Marlin sings backing vocals, Noam Pikelny and Eldridge guest on a few songs as well. The band recorded live over four days at The Tractor Shed in Nashville with Sean Sullivan engineering and mixing. Eleven original songs include cowrites with Maya de Vitry and Jamey Johnson.

Doors open at 7:00. Caitlin Canty will play 2 sets at 7:30 with a break.
Refreshments will be available.
We offer tickets as a general to generous sliding scale fee $15/$20/$25 or pay what you can.
We don't charge a service fee. All funds after expenses goes directly to the artists.
