It's that time of year when your local Rotary Club hosts its annual Golfball Drop. This year it's on Friday, September 15 at 4 pm. Once again Charlotte-Shelburne-Hinesburg Rotary will drop 1500 golf balls from a helicopter! It's a thrilling sight to see the copter come sweeping in, flaring up to stop and hover over a pin at the driving range at the Kwini Club off Spear Street. If you have 'purchased' a ball, it may be that yours could be to one to land closest to the pin and win you $1,000. It's part of over $2500 in prizes plus a Long Drive contest for men, women, and kids. Buy a ball and support our community fire and rescue services. This event raises thousands of dollars for emergency services for our three towns.
