Car Show at Knight Point State Park Aug. 23

The third annual Automobiles at Knight Point State Park Car Show is on Saturday, August 23, from 10 to 4. Presented by the Islands Center at Knight Point State Park and the VT State Parks, and sponsored by Senator Dick Mazza, the show is open to vehicles of all kinds. Food and flea market vendors will be on hand. There will be prizes for the winning cars in the following categories: oldest car, newest car, American car, non-American car, British car, truck, motorcycle, work in progress.

There is still time to register a car for the show, or reserve vendor space for the Flea Market, but you must call before 4 p.m.Friday at 372-8400. Otherwise register at the Park on Saturday. Bring your own tables and tents. The cost of a vendor space is $10. To register a car the cost is $15. All cars must be insured and have an appropriate fire extinguisher.
The annual Car Show is a project of the Islands Center at Knight Point State Park, a non-profit organization that provides programs in the Park during the summer months. The entrance fee is $5 per adult, kids under 12 free, and includes park admission. Don’t miss this opportunity to see automobile “survivors” of years past!
