The building setting in front of the cemetery in Essex Center is known as the 1805 School House. This little jewel, passed by almost unseen by many, has a unique history linking several prominent citizens from the past. This presentation will talk about the history and journey of this structure, purported by some to be the oldest building in Essex, and will describe the processes involved in the ultimate recovery and restoration. There will be an open house at the School House located by Essex Center Cemetery from 6:15 to 6:45 with the program started at 7 p.m. at Memorial Hall, Towers Road. Speaker: Hubie Norton
