Join Northeast Wilderness Trust and Jason Mazurowski, a local naturalist and native bee specialist, to discover autumn pollinators at Woodbury Mountain Wilderness Preserve. We'll explore wetlands and forest edges to document some of Vermont's 350+ species of native bees, just as bumblebee colonies are reaching their annual late-summer peak. We'll discuss and observe other groups of pollinators such as butterflies, moths, wasps and more as they forage on late-season wildflowers. We will also learn to record our sightings using the iNaturalist app, which is a fun way to learn about nature in your own backyard while contributing to science.
