Labor Day Weekend Festival Orchestra on the Lawn:
Friends of Music at Guilford presents their 57th Labor Day Weekend Festival, featuring the Guilford Festival Orchestra, conducted by Ken Olsson, on the Lawn at the Guilford Organ Barn. A "Diverse and Sundry" collection of chamber orchestra pieces ranging from Classical to Contemporary, from Mozart to William Grant Still to Joni Mitchell. After a COVID hiatus, we are also finally resuming the beloved traditional finale of singing Randall Thompson's "Alleluia" together.
The concert starts at 3:00 pm, grounds open at 2:00 pm for picnickers, bring your blankets, lawn chairs, food and drinks, relax and enjoy the ambiance.
Admission free / by donation.
158 Kopkind Road, off Packers Corners Road, Guilford, VT. Allow at least a full half hour from Exit 1 / Canal Street.
In case of rain, the concert will move to the Broad Brook Community Center and will be announced Sunday morning.
