The Northeast Kingdom Asylum-Seekers Assistance Network (NEKASAN) invites neighbors of all ages to sample cuisines from around the globe at The Welcome Center in St. Johnsbury on Saturday, September 9. NEKASAN assists asylum-seekers and refugees with their physical, emotional, vocational, legal, and financial needs as they work to establish their lives in safety here in the NEK. Join us on September 9 to experience foods from as far away as Benin, Iran, Ukraine and Syria, prepared by NEKASAN supporters and guests. Music from around the world will provide the soundtrack, you'll learn more about NEKASAN from board members and other volunteers, and a raffle featuring beautiful decorative items from different cultures will round out the day.
