Genealogy and Slavery Discussion - Thursday, August 31
We are a discussion group of people who are researching our ancestors' connections to slavery. We meet monthly to share research experiences and to discuss the challenges of uncovering difficult, long-hidden truths. Each meeting includes a focused discussion about how this work can connect to the current struggles for racial justice. We also include a short education session in which we share skills. We meet via Zoom on the last Thursday of every month. The next meeting is Thursday, August 31 from 6-8 pm and the following month, we will meet on September 28. If you are interested in participating, contact doriew@radicalrootsgenealogy.org for more information.
