Join Walker Cammack, Program Director Living Labs at Smokey House, and Tim Duclos, Healthy Forest Program Senior Associate and Woods, Wildlife and Warblers project lead with Audubon Vermont for an educational walk of the forests at Smokey House Center. Walker and Tim willtake you on a tour and discuss forest management and forest bird habitat along the way. Attendees will walk away with greater knowledge of what rich forest habitat looks like, how ecologically complex forests develop- both naturally and through stewardship- and how you can tap into resources with which you yourself can help steward forests around you for these same characteristics. Whether you are a forest landowner yourself, or simply want to learn about forest ecology and conservation, this walk is for you! Bring the whole family.
This event is free and open to the public. Be prepared for a forest walk, bring water and wear appropriate clothing.
