Join the Windsor Library and the Mary L. Blood Memorial Library at the Albert Bridge School on Saturday for a tree identification walk with Naturalist & former Windsor Tree Warden Michael Metivier.
He will show us how to identify different tree species primarily by their bark, which unlike leaves can be viewed year-round. This location actually won't require much walking—it's a shorter path with plenty to see including healthy elms (and dead ones,) mature/old red maple and yellow birch, bigtooth aspen, and more.
Dress for the weather and opt for comfortable shoes. We can walk in a gentle rain but will postpone for thunder and lightning. Please call the Windsor Library at 674-2556 to reserve your spot. We'll meet behind the Albert Bridge School.
