Bike & Sewing Machine Collection – Sept. 9th

The Knights of Columbus will once again be collecting bicycles and sewing machines at "Paul's Car Wash" at 1261 Main Street in Fairfax on September 9th from 9 AM to 11 AM. Bikes in reasonable condition and Sewing Machines in working condition will be collected for Pedals for Progress and Sewing Peace (www.p4p.org). Items will be shipped to developing countries around the world to help less fortunate families. Last year all bikes and sewing machines collected were shipped to Nicaragua. We ask for a $15 donation with each item to help defray the tremendous cost of shipping. We also accept monetary donations. The bikes and sewing machines will go a long way to help struggling families to earn an income and improve their quality of lives. For more information contact Bob Thompson at (802)503-7969.
