In describing how he finally secured a space at a snazzy new restaurant in London, the restaurant critic at The Guardian noted, "Good things don't always come easy." Once there, he found singular offerings that included chocolate salad dressing, salmon mousse, deep-fried oysters, and lavender ice cream. He described the food, coming from a chef who holds 15 Michelin stars, "lick-the-plate delicious" and said it's worth selling a kidney to pay to eat there.
Nothing could be easier than securing a place for a lick-the-plate delicious Monday Munch at the Charlotte Senior Center. No reservations needed. Just come and enjoy the meal. It's a safe bet that the coleslaw on the menu won't have chocolate dressing, nor will the ice cream be lavender. A great meal will be prepared by volunteer cooks and dirty dishes cleaned up by volunteer dish washers. Meals are offered at no charge. A $5 donation is suggested to cover the cost of the food.
