Lamoille River Paddler's Trail Information at Tues Night Live

Attention: Paddlers, Anglers, Tubers and River Lovers,
Come visit the Conservation Commission’s tent tonight at Tuesday Night Live and find out about the proposed Lamoille River Paddler’s Trail. A group of us along with the River Conservancy are exploring the idea of creating this trail from Greensboro Bend to Lake Champlain. The idea is to map out access points, portage trails and camping spots along the river and establish new spots where needed.
You can help – we need help identifying formal and informal access and camping spots and gauging support for this project. Tonight we will have a map of the river in the Johnson area for you to mark up and a sign up sheet for folks interested in helping make this trail a reality.
Eric Nuse, Doug Molde and Sue Lovering will be on hand to answer questions. Examples of maps for the Northern Forest Paddle Trail and the Connecticut River Trail will also be on hand.
Stop by and see what is in the works. This is also a great opportunity for our town to leverage our natural resource beauty with the building of the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail.
See you tonight!
