The United Church of Craftsbury (UCC) welcomes two young and talented musicians, Mhairi Anne McMurray on piano and Carter Montgomery on flute, to provide special music this Sunday, August 24 at the 10am service.

Thirteen-year-old Mhairi lives in Monkton, VT. This fall she will enter 8th Grade at Mt. Abraham Jr. High, Bristol, where she is an honor student and participates in soccer as well as track and field events. Mhairi is Ian McMurray’s daughter and the grand-daughter of Anne Wilson and Warren Williams.

Carter is ten years old and lives in Irasburg, Vermont. He will be in the 5th grade at the Coventry Village School this fall, where his mother, Jennifer Montgomery teaches. He has been playing the flute for a little less than a year and has been taking lessons with Sarah Kinsley this summer. Carter also enjoys playing baseball and soccer. Carter participated in UCC’s Christmas pageant last holiday season as a shephard.

The UCC encourages young people to participate in all services in a variety of ways so please join us in celebrating Mhairi and Carter’s contributions to this Sunday’s service at 10am at the Church on The Common in Craftsbury. All are welcome.
