Walloomsac River Theatre Company is presenting "Fuddy Mears", the story of Claire, an amnesiac, who awakens each morning as a blank slate. Her husband & teenage son must re-teach, daily, the facts of her life. One morning, Claire is abducted by a limping, lisping man who claims her husband wants to kill her.
The ensuing mayhem is viewed through the kaleidoscope of Claire's world. The revelations, by play's end, prove that everything is not what it appears to be.
It's a bit oddball, a bit bizarre, & a whole lot of funny!
In 2000, Fuddy Mears was nominated for an Outer Critics Circle Award & won a Drama Desk Award. It was written by David Lindsay-Abaire, & is directed by Vincent Tatro, with Assistant Director Emily Ranttila.
Performances are at the Monument Arts & Cultural Center, 44 Gypsy Lane, Bennington, VT., on Friday, 8/25 & Saturday, 8/26 at 7 PM, & Sunday, 8/27 at 2 PM. For tickets, go to: https://wrtc.booktix.com/
