Vermont's streams and rivers are on a lot of people's minds these days, after the recent flooding and unprecedented rains. Come learn about how we can improve the health and resilience of our streams and rivers with Friends of the Winooski Executive Director Michele Braun this coming Thursday, August 24. Michele will also share information about the free programs and resources available to those who have property with streams.
The program location is 956 East Street (my property). Parking is along the road. There will be a short but somewhat steep walk down to Fargo Brook. Registration via the Huntington Public Library (434-4583 or hpl@ gmavt.net) is requested. Sponsored by the Huntington Conservation Commission, the library, and the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department.
