Do you ever wonder how much your new, precious or antique quilt is worth? Come find out! Sandra Palmer, Certified Quilt Appraiser will speak at the Milk and Honey Quilters Guild meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 22 at 6:30 p.m. (doors open at 6:00pm) at the American Legion Hall on Boardman Street (behind G Stone Motors) in Middlebury.
Sandra is the only certified quilt appraiser in Vermont. She attained her certification through the American Quilter's Society based in Paducah, KY. She is also a member of the Professional Association of Appraisers – Quilted Textiles, an international organization established in 1992 to promote and guide professional certified quilt appraisers.
Come learn the difference between insurance value, fair market value, and donation value as Sandra walks us through the appraisal of a couple quilts and explains what an appraiser looks for in this process. Anyone is welcome to come to this lecture. Non-members of the guild will be charged a $5.00 visitor fee at the door. For more information: milkandhoneyquilt@yahoo.com
