BlacKLisT steps on the Tuesday Night Live stage at the Legion Field, School Street in Johnson at 6 pm on August 22, 2023. BlacKLisT featuring Senayit is an Afro-punk neo-soul band with classical and contemporary influences ranging from Radiohead and Regina Carter to Ma Rainey and Miles Davis. Their promo says they are rage, love, and revolutionary defiance in a trance state. Senayit Tomlinson is the heart of the band. Her lyrics and music carry many stories including her own, those of her Ethiopian ancestors, and the spirits of our world. Spanky Roman, the lyric and dynamic drummer, is known for his salsa to jazz, hip-hop, and reggae. He always finds the groove.

Tuesday Night Live is free thanks to the support of 30 local businesses and organizations. Just bring a blanket or chair. Food vendors on site: Nepali Cuisine, Green Mountain Kettle Corn, Waffle Wagon, Mediterranean Mix, Omakase, Fire on the Mountain Pizza, Kingdom Creamery, and Taco Truck All Stars. The Historical Society will offer slices of homemade pie and Alice's German chocolate cake plus grilled McKenzie hot dogs. There is something to please every one while enjoying the company of family, friends, neighbors and great music.
