Complete beginners & experts alike, you are invited to an hour-long tour of Marijke's Perennial Gardens Plus, at 1299 Robert Young Rd., Starksboro, VT, 05487, 802-453-7590, on Saturday, August 19, at 3 p.m.
We will visit some of the 39 display gardens on Marijke's 8 acres. She specializes in native and low maintenance plants. She will offer us her expertise in creating gardens designed to feed creatures that pollinate agricultural crops, home gardens, & generally support healthy Vermont ecosystems. She invites us to bring questions & a friend, to come be inspired. You don't have to want to be A Gardener to have a little less lawn, to be a little more climate-friendly.
After the tour, you will have an opportunity to buy from a large variety of field-grown perennials (flowers, herbs, gooseberry and currant bushes, and more) & some unusual indoor plants.
