Yes, that's right! You can pay $10 to pitch a baseball and dunk your favorite Selectboard member at this Saturday's Shelburne Days at the Farmers Market! All proceeds go to the help fund the Parade Ground upgrades! Because of Open Meeting Laws you can only dunk one Selectboard member at a time.
AND members of the Selectboard will have a table at the Farmers Market to talk with residents about the many items and topics that are currently "in the mix": Pedestrian accessibility in the Village core, the use of ARPA funds, the zoning regulations rewrite, housing and affordability, Shelburne Forward Together, turning on Cynosure Drive, and yes, the Parade Ground upgrade concept (we will have architectural renderings and drawings of the latest design ideas and would like to hear thoughts), and any topic that you would like to discuss with the Selectboard of the many topics of interest to our town. So, please stop by either before or after taking a pitch at the dunking booth.
Also, a reminder that the second event of Shelburne Forward Together will take place on August 22nd, 6:30- 9:00 in the Shelburne Athletic Club fieldhouse. There will be food again, and we will begin to identify town priorities that come out in our first meeting. This is where we begin to identify "action-items" and a plan for addressing them. The first event was fabulous; the second promises to be even better. Please, everyone come!
I hope to see you this Saturday at the Farmers Market. I, and the rest of the Selectboard, look forward to speaking with you then!
