"Mujeres Fuertes" (Strong Women) is a documentary about self-defense, personal power, and freedom. It is intended to educate audiences about violence prevention tools and inspire people to live with courage and confidence. Toby Israel is an author, editor, consultant, and empowerment self-defense instructor currently rooted in Costa Rica. She holds a BA in Anthropology from Middlebury College and an MA in Peace and Media Studies from the University for Peace. Toby is the founder of Mujeres Fuertes Costa Rica, a holistic self-defense project offering empowerment and self-defense education around the country and region.
