Craftsbury Chamber Players present their final concert of the summer this Wednesday, August 16, at 7:30 PM at Elley-Long Music Center in Colchester. There will be a pre-concert chat with one of the artists at 6:45.
The program features two works by Johannes Brahms: the Trio in A Minor for clarinet, cello, and piano; and the Quintet in F Minor for two violins, viola, cello, and piano. Between these two pieces is Claude Debussy's Premiere rhapsodie. Originally for clarinet and piano, the Players will perform an arrangement by Michael Drapkin which swaps the piano for string quartet.
Performers are Eileen Mack, Clarinet; Marcantonio Barone, piano; Katherine Winterstein and Mary Rowell, violins; Liuh-Wen Ting, viola; and Frances Rowell, cello.
Tickets are available at the door or online. Single admission – $25; Students – $10; Children 12 and under – free. For information, please visit craftsburychamberplayers.org or call 1-800-639-3443.
