Free Goods & Meals for Those Affected by the Flood

Past event
Aug 18, 2023, 10 AM to 6 PM

An event providing free goods & meals for those affected by the flood will be held at Aldrich Public Library (downstairs) at 6 Washington St, Barre Vermont! It will be on Friday August 18th from 10 - 6pm, and donations can be dropped off on August 17th from 10 - 6pm.

We're expecting hundreds of people from surrounding towns to attend, so if you have any items (such as household items, clothing, children's games and toys, back to school items, kitchen supplies, toiletries, small furnitures, first aid kits, non-perishable food, winter items, camping gear, pet care, holiday items) - please consider donating.

We're also serving free meals and are looking for vegetarian dishes (pasta/salad) and or cookies, bread, etc, to serve to the general public. If you aren't able to drop off food or the items- please email me. I live in downtown Montpelier and I have lots of aluminium serving trays that you can use for food storage.

We cannot do this without you, so please help if you can or please share the word. This is an amazing opportunity to serve/support our community.

The Dept of Health and Peoples Health and Wellness Clinic will join us to provide free tetanus vaccine clinic along with first aid giveaways.

A big THANKS to Sarduccis, Hunger Mt Co-op, Tree Top Seltzer, Misty Knoll Chicken, Aldrich Library, Rainbow Bridge Comm Center, Adam Jacobs and City of Barre for their generous donations.

Thank you!
