The Stockbridge Historical Society, Belcher Library and Thomas Chittenden Chapter of the DAR are partnering to build momentum toward the 250th birthday of our Country. The DAR will have short biographical sketches of members' own ancestors who served in the Revolutionary War on display at the Belcher Library from August 9 th through August 19th . Supplementing this display, the Stockbridge Historical Society will offer a free, open to the public Story Hour about Ethan Allen and the Green Mountain Boys at the Belcher Library on Tuesday, August 15 th at 4:00 PM. The Belcher Library will be offering refreshments during the presentation. The Story Hour is suitable for school age children and their parents. This is a great opportunity to come together and celebrate the role that Vermont played in the shaping of the new Nation.
