The United Church of Craftsbury is pleased to announce that Rev. Judy Waible will be conducting a Service of Healing this Sunday, August 17. Incorporated into the service will be two Liturgical Dances. As defined by Wikipedia, “Liturgical dance is a type of dance movement sometimes incorporated into liturgies or worship services as an expression of worship: the dancers will respond with an appropriate dance which flows out of the music and is thought to enhance the prayer or worship experience. This dance may either be spontaneous, or [as is the case this Sunday]... choreographed ahead of time...[and] is generally fitted to the song's lyrics or to religious concepts.”

Representing the themes of forgiveness and reconciliation, one interpretive dance will be performed to the song of Amazing Grace, by Rev Judy Waible, Cilla Bonney-Smith, and Barb Flint. The second dance is " The Peace Prayer" with the prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi set to music and performed by Rev. Judy Waible and Barb Flint.
