Monday Munch, Aug. 14, goes international. For starters, there's muhammara, (Arabic for 'reddened'). a dip made with walnuts, red bell peppers, and molasses. This tasty blend is associated with Aleppo but is also found in Turkey and in Armenian culture. There's naan, Persian for bread, to enjoy with these tasty flavors. Take a look in Wikipedia for the etymology as this flatbread traveled around the world. Wikipedia also has a fascinating entry on walnuts.
