Cemetery Needs Your Help

REMINDER
On Saturday, August 19th the Hinesburg Cemetery Association with the help from the Vermont Old Cemetery Association (VOCO) will be doing work in one of the older sections of the Village Cemetery on Mechanicsville Road from 8 am to 1 pm. Park at the very top or near the fountain.

We are hoping to repair, upright and clean as many monuments as we can.

Thank you to all who have showed an interest in helping. More volunteers are needed.

As a reminder, we need volunteers who can help with digging, using pry bars, some lifting and others who want to help with less strenuous labor can help clean the stones.

Bring your shovels, pry bars, water spray bottles and soft bristled brushes, like what you use to clean vegetable. NO wire brushes.

We would appreciate your support. If you can help us or know of individuals or an organization willing to do some community service, please pass the information along. Any help would be tremendous in our effort of beautifying the Cemetery. It is also an opportunity to learn how to fix and clean stones for your own use and to gain experience for future work days in our cemeteries.
