The Vermont Arts Council awarded The Albany Community Trust a $15,000 Animating Infrastructure grant for the installation of a public art space at The Genny Albany. The first phase of the project will open Friday August 11th at 5 p.m. Local artist Theresa Peura designed the proposal and will present the first work, an interactive "crankie" box called Storyhouse, and a performance about Albany's beloved mascot, the wolf. This phase of the project is designed to exhibit artists working in the medium outdoors. There will also be a performance by Meredith Holch, who is holding a workshop on how to make a "crankie" story at the Albany Public Library on Wednesday, August 16, 1-3 pm.
