Afterschool in Nature at Sage Mountain Botanical Sanctuary is now enrolling for the 2023-2024 school year.
Serving youth in grades 4 through 8, meeting Monday through Friday after school, our hands-on immersive enrichment program is hosted on our 600-acre nature reserve in Orange Vermont. Our program begins September 5, 2023, and runs through June 14, 2024, with breaks for public school vacations.
Our Afterschool in Nature curriculum intimately follows the cycle of the seasons, wildlife, and local flora. Youth learn not only about the natural communities that surround them, but also about themselves, their peers, and the world at large.
Afterschool in Nature offers a sliding scale tuition and financial assistance to make this program accessible for all families. Transportation is provided, both to the program and home afterwards, from schools in Orange and Barre. Space is intentionally limited to ensure quality experience; a few spaces are now open for the 2023-2024 school year.
