A Free Evening of Show Tunes and Sinatra Hits songs in honor of Doug Tudhope
All are welcome to join us at this free concert offered in celebration of the life of Doug and BillieTudhope, long-time friends and supporters of Island Arts. Two local ensembles will perform: the duo of Tudhope's grandchildren, Sarah and Peter Bowley, and the "Champlain Voices", the South Hero-based vocal quartet of Gina Fearn, Linda Libby, Carl Frenning, and Chuck Hill.
Sarah and Peter will be singing the songs their grandparents loved. This includes showtunes, Sinatra hits, and more! Their grandparent's appreciation for music lives on through them and inspires them to share these timeless classics with you today.
Doug Tudhope was a well known educator and business owner throughout Vermont. In 2014, Doug became chair of Island Arts capital fundraising for the newly gifted Island Arts Center and was very effective in his position, encouraging the county people to support and invest in their community county Arts center gem. He was awarded the title of honorary director and was proud to be part of Island Arts. We miss his presence and guidance
