Craftsbury Chamber Players's season continues this Wednesday, August 9, at 7:30 PM at Elley-Long Music Center in Colchester. There will be a pre-concert chat with one of the artists at 6:45.
The first half of the program celebrates Eastern European composers from the 19th century through the present day, with Antonin Dvorak's "Four Romantic Pieces" for violin and piano (1887), Witold Lutoslawski's "Bucolics" for viola and cello (1962), and Inessa Zaretsky's "Travelling Light" for violin, cello, and piano (2022). These works are followed on the second half by Beethoven's beloved Trio in B-flat major, op. 97 "Archduke."
Performers are Inessa Zaretsky and Marcantonio Barone, piano; Katherine Winterstein, violin; Mary Rowell, violin and viola; and Mimi Hwang and Frances Rowell, cello.
