The Northeast Disabled Athletic Association--NDAA-- cordially invites you to try adaptive sailing on the Burlington waterfront!. The free event is at the Burlington Boathouse at the end of College Street from 10am to 1pm on Sunday, August 17th. Here are the details:

2nd Annual Adaptive Sailing Clinic Sets Sail at
Burlington Boathouse This Sunday

WHAT: The City of Burlington Department of Parks and Recreation, Lake Champlain Community Sailing Center (LCCSC) and the Northeast Disabled Athletic Association (NDAA) are teaming up again to provide an adaptive sailing clinic for sailors with disabilities. The event is designed to highlight adaptive sailing opportunities in and around the Queen City. Adaptive sailboats on display will include one Sonar and several Martin 16s.

Persons with disabilities who are interested in learning more about sailing with these adaptive sailing programs are encouraged to attend. Persons interested in volunteering with these organizations are also encouraged to attend.

Sailors with spinal cord injuries, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury, and other disabilities are encouraged to attend. The public is welcome and limited sailing opportunities will be available to individuals with disabilities on a first come, first serve basis.

LCCSC is a community-based, non-profit organization, that encourages and celebrates the responsible use and long-term stewardship of Lake Champlain by providing the community with educational and recreational access to Lake Champlain. NDAA is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization located in Burlington, Vermont that provides athletes with physical disabilities the opportunity to pursue recreational and competitive athletics.
