Lunch and Learn
Wednesday August 9, at 1:00 the CastletonCommunity Center will host Professor Helen Mango who will show how mountain-building events, periods of erosion and sediment deposition, and glaciation all combined to create the rocks and landscape that we see in Vermont today, forming the geologic resources that have sustained centuries of economic and cultural activity. You may want to bring in some rocks for identification. Professor Mango is a geochemist and recently retired Castleton University professor who taught geology and chemistry courses for 30+ years.
