The West Windsor Historical Society's postponed hike to the Cady Mausoleum, originally scheduled for June, will finally take place on Sunday, August 20th. We'll start at the school playing field at 11:00 to follow the clue trail developed by the 4th grade class several years ago. This includes a steep uphill hike up the snowmobile trail and we'll distract ourselves with the many stories about Daniel Cady that Karen Diop will share. If this part of the hike may be too much for you, meet us at the top of Strawberry Hill Road, making sure to park close to the side so cars can get by. We'll meet you there at 11:30 and then continue up the path until the white walls of the mausoleum emerge from the undergrowth.
Bring water, apply bug spray, have footwear that can deal with hills, and take tick precautions.
