2022-2023 was the first year of the Friends of Castleton International Students organization, and we had a great year. We put on four potlucks for students staying over the fall, Thanksgiving, winter and spring breaks, we supported a student experiencing hardship far from home, we arranged for host families for students for Thanksgiving dinner, and we had an end of the year celebration on the lake. Those students felt welcomed by this community!
Classes at Vermont State University Castleton start on August 20. New international students arrive for orientation the week of August 14th. We have around 30 new international students coming!
If you'd like to learn more about this organization and possibly get involved, please come to an organizational meeting on Monday, August 14 at 5:00 pm at the Castleton Free Library, 638 Main St.
