Rik Palieri and George Mann featuring songs from the Almanac Trail will take over the Tuesday Night Live outdoor stage at 6 PM until 8:30 PM on August 8th at the Legion Field on School Street, Johnson.

Rik, who now lives in Vermont has been performing for more than 50 years singing both original and traditional songs while using a variety of folk instruments, including the banjo, 6 & 12 string guitars, mouth bow, Native American flute and a collection of rare Polish bagpipes. George Mann will provide guitar and vocals. It promises to be a night of excellent folk entertainment.

It is free. Just bring a blanket or chair. A variety of food vendors will offer tasty treats or a light supper on site. The Historical Society bakers promise slices of homemade pie like apple, apricot, banana cream, blueberry, blackberry, cherry, peach, raspberry, and a variety maple pies such as maple cream, maple pecan, maple coconut, and more. And McKenzie hotdogs will be grilled by Don Garrett, Dennis Richards, and Tom Carney. Rain or shine. Summer showers may dampen the enthusiasm for a few minutes; but it is lightning and thunder that stops the music.

Tuesday Night Live is free thanks to the support of local businesses. Be sure to give them a thank you when you get a chance.
