The Bethel Conservation Commission, Bethel Recreation Committee, White River Valley Unified District (WRVUD), and the Brick Church are teaming up to build a staircase from the Athletic Fields to the rear of the Brick Church with a path to the sidewalk across the Bandshell. This project is funded by WRVUD and a Quick Build Grant from the VT Dept. of Health, aiming to better connect vital parts of towns for community health.

Ferron Griffin and Chris Fors of the CC and Kyle Cartwright of the Rec Comm. are leading the build of the stairs. We are looking for a few volunteers to help us with the setting of the posts in the ground and the framing. If there are extra volunteers, there are other trail projects in the area that can be completed. You will also learn about the exciting projects planned and made obtainable by the VOREC (Vermont Outdoor Recreation and Economic Collective) Grant initiated by Gov. Phil Scott, that was awarded to Bethel.
