The new student art exhibit, in the gallery at the Adamant Coop until Sept 1, resounds with keen observation and accomplished technique. Works by 30 Calais and East Montpelier elementary and middle school students include a ceramic birthday cake, a monster pinch pot, watercolors painted in a Maine coast botanical garden, torn paper collage, acrylics, a flotilla of pointe shoes, a sfumato drawing of flowers. Work is inspired by books, artists, nature, food, even the Internet.

Please join us to for our opening reception Saturday, August 5, 1-3pm.

If you can't attend the reception, the exhibit is open during Coop hours: 8am-6pm on weekdays, 9-3 on Saturdays, 10-1 on Sundays. If the studio door is locked, just ask a store staff member to open it for you.
