Scout Bottle and Food Drive for the Food Shelf Aug. 26

Past event
Aug 26, 2023, 8:30 to 11 AM

Given the significantly increased demands due to recent flooding and school summer vacation on our local food shelf, Williston Scout BSA Troop 692 is conducting a community-wide bottle/can drive and food drive on Saturday, August 26. ALL proceeds from the bottle drive will benefit the Williston Community Food Shelf. We will also be collecting non-perishable food items and toiletries. Items currently in need at the food shelf include: bottles of juice, crunchy peanut butter, laundry detergent, personal hygiene products, canned soup, canned pasta sauce, boxed mac and cheese.

We will visit the following areas and neighborhoods:
Eastview Cir, Coyote Run, Stirrup Cir, Bittersweet Cir, Hillside Dr, Sharon Dr, River Cove Rd, Morgan Pkwy, Meadowrun Rd, Lamplite Ln, Finney Crossing, Seth Cir, Isham Cir, Brennan Woods, Ledgewood Dr, Southridge, Pleasant Acres, Turtle Pond Rd, Wildflower Cir, Southfield Dr, Village Grove, Lefebvre Ln, Fairway Dr, Creeks Edge Dr, Hillcrest Ln, Michael Ln and Sunrise Dr.

If you are interested in participating, please place your empty returnable (for deposit) cans and bottles in a paper or plastic bag curbside (not in the road) by 8:30 AM on Saturday 8/26. Please put food shelf donations in separate bags/containers.
If you are not in one of the neighborhoods listed above and would like to arrange someone to pick up bottles and/or food or have other questions, please feel free to reach out to:
