Miranda Henne & Friends
Nationally renowned cellist Miranda Henne is back with her colleagues Greg Liszt (banjo) and Mariechristine Lopez (violin) to perform classical and original music with a touch of bluegrass. Works include Claude Debussy and J.S. Bach.
Most recently, Henne performed over 200 concerts during a four-month tour with piano quartet for Lincoln Center Stage, returning home to Cambridge, MA in March 2023. She has also collaborated with Shen Wei, choreographer of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Ceremony, to create and premiere The New You, featuring her musical improvisation.
Banjoist Greg Liszt has toured and recorded extensively with acclaimed folk bands Crooked Still and the Deadly Gentlemen, both of which he helped to found. His innovative four-finger picking technique earned him a place in Bruce Springsteen's live band for Springsteen's Seeger Sessions Tour in 2006.
Violinist,Mariechristine Lopez is a musician who evokes emotions through sound. As chamber musician, she has collaborated with Fazil Say, Robert McDuffie, Hsin-Yun Huang, Peter Wiley, and Simone Gramaglia. Her live performances as soloist and chamber musician have been broadcast on Swiss (Radio Svizzera Italiana) and Italian (Rai Radio3) radio.
