Please join Mosaic on August 3rd, 6:00 pm at Fox Market for a conversation about mattering and belonging, and what we can do as a community and as individuals to improve our connections with each other. In the aftermath of the recent climate disaster, we have seen incredible networks and support systems emerge because of necessity. What would it look like for these systems and ways of community care to be an ever present force within Washington County and beyond? The science tells us that mattering--when we feel like we are seen, heard and have value--is a critical factor in our continued wellbeing and success. How can we begin to use or expand the idea of mattering as a way to assess how our organization does critical work, how communities think about urban planning, or how we ask policy makers to address the issues creating seemingly unmovable barriers to health and happiness for so many people in our community? We'd like to share some of the science about mattering with you, and hear what you have to say about what we can do support a feeling of belonging for everyone in Washington County. Join us for light snacks, drinks and thoughtful discussion about how we can create the world we'd like to live in. We can't wait to hear from you.
