Craftsbury Chamber Players present their fourth concert highlighting female composers and featuring Artists-in-Residence and the Kompass Quartet, on Wednesday, August 2, at 7:30 PM at the Elley-Long Music Center in Colchester. There will be a pre-concert chat with one of the artists at 6:45.
This concert features works by three 19th- and 20th-century composers – all of them women. Between these two pieces, CCP features The Kompass Quartet – performing Polish composer Grazyna Bacewicz's string quartet No. 4.
Performers are Marcantonio Barone, piano; Jessica Gehring, Mary Rowell, Jade Schoolcraft, and Katherine Winterstein, violins; Matthew Ryan, viola; and Victoria Lin and Frances Rowell, cello.
