On Wednesday, August 2, the Middlesex Bandstand will host the Montreal-based Haitian band Wesli, featuring Canadian-Haitian musician Wesley Louissain, who built his first guitar out of an old oil can and nylon shoelace when he was 8 years old. The band combines Haitian voodoo and rara with roots, Afrobeat and hip-hop. Wesli has won Canadian national awards for folk artist and world music album of the year. The concert is free, music starts at 6:30 PM, and pizza is available from Woodbelly. For more information, call (802) 272-4920.
