All are invited to the 2014 TravisRoy Foundation WIFFLE Ball Tournament this weekend at Little Fenway.
The big kickoff and celebration of the new 3rd field is Friday, August 15th at 5:30pm. We will start with a celebrity-sponsor game after we show off the new field, Little Field of Dreams, that Pat and Beth O'Connor built this summer, with the help of many generous volunteers and local companies. The weekend continues through Sunday afternoon, and there are night games on Friday and Saturday.
If you have never been up to Little Fenway, I encourage you to stop by and take a look at this backyard marvel. Pat has built quarter scale replicas of three famous baseball parks, Fenway, Wrigley, and now, Field of Dreams. The event is free to attend and there are food and beverages available at the tournament to purchase.
If you have kids, there is a free kids tent with face painting from 10am - 2pm on Saturday and 10 - 12 on Sunday.
It's a great event, even if you don't have a team in the tournament. You will surely see some of your neighbors there as volunteers, players, or guests.
