The next selection in our Teen Book Discussion series is Gene Luen Yang's famed graphic novel "American Born Chinese."
"American Born Chinese tells the story of three apparently unrelated characters: Jin Wang, who moves into a new neighborhood with his family only to discover that he's the only Chinese-American student at this new school; the power Monkey King: and Chin-Kee , who is ruining his cousin Danny's life with his yearly visits.
Our book discussion will be Friday, August 11th from 6-7PM.
FREE copies of the books are now available behind the Children's Desk while supplies last. If you know you are planning on attending the discussion, please email kathryn.laliberte@ilsleypubliclibrary.org and I will gladly reserve you a copy.
