The Remembering Hiroshima Peace Walk and Ceremony begins at 6:45 pm on Sunday, August 6th, at the Kellogg-Hubbard Library in Montpelier and proceeds along State Street, pausing at Christ Church for the tolling of 78 bells, marking the 78th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Then the commemorative walk continues to the Montpelier High School where participants will gather in a circle to remember victims, to share thoughts about nuclear disarmament and actions for peace and sing songs of peace, followed by sharing flowers for peace.
