There will be no imbibing in the church, but the Library welcomes everyone to come learn about the history of beer and Vermont's role in the homebrewing and small-batch brewing revolution next Wednesday, August 2 at 5:00pm in GUCC's Fellowship Hall. Our speaker for the Vermont Humanities Council slideshow and talk is Burlington author and speaker Bill Mares, who taught us the history of beekeeping last year. Bill has also researched beer and practicing fermenting it for many years, and literally wrote the book Making Beer. His talk is titled "From Homebrew to the House of Fermentology," and while we will not be offering beer samples after the talk, we figure you know where you can get hyper-local brew or brews from Vermont and beyond to enjoy:) Parking will be available at the church, the library and on the road in front of the library, Willey's Beach Park, and the town parking lot. All library programs can be found on our website events calendar: https://greensborofreelibrary.org/programs-events-2/ We hope to see you soon!
