Music for VT Flood Relief: Miranda Henne (Cello), Greg Lizst (Banjo), and Mariechristine Lopez (Violin) perform classical and original music with a touch of bluegrass. Works include "Summer" from Vivaldi's Four Seasons, works by Claude Debussy, Mozart and Saint Saens arranged for cello, violin and banjo; and some upbeat and grooving folk tunes, as you might expect to hear from banjo. Suggested donation $20 to go VT flood relief.
Cellist Miranda Henne "stretches classical music boundaries to encompass all forms of music, including bluegrass." –The Valley Reporter. In addition to performing chamber music (most recently on tour with a piano quartet for Lincoln Center Stage), Henne composes and improvises music such as for the one-woman play "Regeneration" and "The New You" with choreographer Shen Wei.
She is joined by banjoist Greg Liszt, who toured and recorded with folk bands Crooked Still and the Deadly Gentlemen, as well with Bruce Springsteen's tour in 2006, and violinist Mariechristine Lopez who has toured internationally performing as soloist and chamber musician in Switzerland, Italy, and the US.
