Vocalist Judi Emanuel brings the Judi Emanuel Family Band to Tuesday Night Live on August 1st from 6 PM to 8:30 PM in Johnson, showcasing Jamaican folk and popular music on the Tuesday Night Live Outdoor Stage at the Legion Field, School Street in a free, family-friendly event. Award winning singer/songwriter, Judi Emanuel and her family relocated from Jamaica to Shelburne, VT in 2017. The only Jamaican inter-generational family band in Vermont, the band provides the infectious sound of Jamaican folk music, which entertains young and old alike.
A variety of vendors will offer tasty treats or a light supper on site. The Historical Society volunteer bakers promise slices of homemade pie like apricot, banana cream, blueberry, cherry, rhubarb, several varieties of maple, peach, raspberry and more, as well as Alice's German chocolate cake. The McKenzie hot dogs are grilled to perfection by Don Garrett, Denis Richards, and Tom Carney and served by Dick Simays.
Parking is along School Street, in the Elementary School Parking lot, and at the McClellan Building lot on College Hill. Rain or shine. Summer showers may dampen the enthusiasm for a few minutes; but it is lightning and thunder that stops the music.
Tuesday Night Live is free thanks to the support of local businesses and organizations. Be sure to give them a thank you when you get a chance. Bootlegger Bikes.
