Remote Area Medical is hosting a free clinic Aug 19-20th at Mount Anthony Union Middle School, 747 East Rd, Bennington VT.
The clinic is free, first come, first served- no ID required. Volunteers from our community, and across our state and nation will convene to provide:
Dental care: cleanings, fillings, extractions, X-rays;
Vision care with complete eye exams and prescription glasses made on site
Medical evaluation: physical exams, women's health exams, prescription consults, and some laboratory tests.
Free dental, vision, and medical services are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to time constraints, be prepared to choose between DENTAL and VISION services. Medical services are offered to every patient attending the clinic
The patient parking lot will open no later than 11:59 p.m. (midnight local time) on Friday night, Aug. 18, and remain open. As patients arrive at the parking lot, they will be provided with additional information regarding clinic opening processes and next steps. Clinic doors typically open at 6 a.m. This clinic is in collaboration with Greater Bennington Community Services (GBCS).
Patients should be prepared with their own food, water, medicines, and clothing when arriving early. Bathrooms will be provided..
All services are free and open to the public. No ID required.
In some situations, such as inclement weather, volunteer cancellations, or other circumstances outside of RAM's control, the parking lot may open earlier or a smaller number of patients served. RAM encourages everyone who would like services, especially dental services, to arrive as early as possible.
This is hosted by GBICS, in collaboration with community partners.
